Kids Duathlon Victoria

Triathlon BC is excited to host a fun, participation-based KIDS duathlon event at UVic on April 23rd.

Kids between ages of 7-13 will race through the duathlon (run – bike – run) on an exciting super-short course that is fully contained on closed roads and parking lots.  This event will coincide with the SuperSeries Mad Moto event. The Kids Duathlon will race on a similar course that the SuperSeries athletes will be competing on, and with the super-short race format, the kids will be able to watch the older racers compete on this exciting short course.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Triathlon BC is looking for volunteers to help at the April 23rd Super Series Provincial race and Kids Duathlon. The event will take place at the University of Victoria between 7:00am-12:00pm.
We are looking for volunteers to help with the course marshalling for both races. Shift #1 would be 6:45am-10:15am the Super Series event, and Shift #2 would be 10:00am-12:00pm the kids event. If you are able to help you can choose which shift you would like to help with.  We need 7-10 volunteers for Shift #1 6:45-10:15am, and another 8-12 volunteers for Shift #2 10:00am-12:00pm.
Coffee, water, muffins and other treats will be provided for volunteers.
If you would like to be recognized as a Volunteer Extraordinaire and do both Shift #1 and #2 we can accommodate you and would be forever indebted to you for your contribution.
Please feel free to pass this email on to someone you know that may enjoy giving their time to help develop the next generation of Triathlon Super Stars!
If you are interested in Volunteering please email kelly@tribc.org with which shift you would like to do and I will send you the particulars of the event!!
Thank you so much in advance for your time and enthusiasm, events like this couldn’t happen without your support!!

Safety Reminders:
**NO PRE-RIDING THE COURSE**
We have a very tight timeline which does not allow for athletes to pre-rides on Sunday April 23 outside of the guided lap of the course.
If you would like to see the area and check out the roads, early in the morning on Saturday April 22 would be a quiet time to do that. Please note this would not be part of the event and thus athletes assume all risk and or liability.

The Kids event is not draft-legal.
