The Athlete Assistance Program (AAP) is a provincial government-funded subsidy initiative, designed to support the pursuit of excellence among high-performance athletes in British Columbia.

This program provides financial assistance to dedicated BC-based athletes who are engaged in intensive training and meet performance criteria. AAP aims to help alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with preparing for national and international competitions. By investing in these athletes, the funding aims to foster a competitive sporting environment that enables individuals to achieve world-class performances on the global stage.

Following an exceptionally competitive year in 2024, Triathlon BC deployed additional funding from its Growth and Support Fund to recognize and support a total of nine outstanding athletes from British Columbia, as they continue their rigorous training and preparation for the 2025 season. These athletes have demonstrated remarkable dedication, resilience, and skill in their pursuit of excellence:

  • Anja Krueger
  • Chris Gregor
  • Hayden Woodrow
  • Aiden Longcroft-Harris
  • Heidi Henry
  • Solen Wood
  • Colette Reimer
  • Ethan Sagi
  • James Sikich

Triathlon BC extends its sincere congratulations to this year’s recipients and acknowledges the many talented athletes who applied for funding but were not selected. We commend their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to excellence and encourage them to continue striving toward their athletic goals.
