RAISING FUNDS, FUELING CHAMPIONS FUND RAISING GALA - AUGUST 9
Ready to meet new friends, build your business network, have fun AND help young athletes across BC?
On the evening of Thursday, August 9th, from 7:00pm, a special community will gather to help fuel the dreams of athletes looking to, one day, represent our great Nation and compete at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
To celebrate our athletes, young and old, new and seasoned, Triathlon BC is hosting a special Fundraising evening that will take place on August 9th, at the Blackbird Social House, 905 Dunsmuir Street, in downtown Vancouver. Net proceeds from the evening, including ticket sales, donations and sales from both silent and live auction items, will be contributed to high performance athlete development in BC.
“Ever since I was 9 years old, I have dreamed of representing Canada at the Olympics and coming home with a gold medal around my neck,” said identified development athlete, West Kelowna’s Brock Hoel, “as I pursue my passion and ultimate goal, my journey will take me all around the world. With your help and generosity, my dream of racing for Canada at the top level can come true.”
New for 2018, Triathlon BC has partnered with the Fairmont Orchid Hotel on Hawaii's beautiful Big Island, the Lavaman Triathlon and Velofix in creating an unforgettable Hawaii Triathlon Getaway! Adding to the auction excitement, are an incredible Via Rail cross Canada travel voucher, a stay at Whistler’s fabulous Nitka Lake Lodge, and chocolates from world famous chocolatier, Thomas Haas.
We invite you to join senior TV broadcaster and media personality, Steve Darling, fellow athletes, senior business leader, invited VIPs, board members and staff will be on hand, as highlights the accomplishments of our historic athletes and provides opportunities to help propel our next generation of athletes on to the international stage.
“Triathlon BC is committed to landing a BC-based athlete on the international podium. To get there, the community needs to share our winning vision,” exclaimed Executive Director, Allan Prazsky. “Every single dollar we raise from the Gala will be used to propel our young athletes forward.”
